Microsoft announced this week that Gears of War 3 is currently scheduled for release on September 20th for most of the world and September 22nd for Japan.
It was also revealed that the Gears of War 3 multiplayer beta will start in mid-April. Owners of the "Epic Edition" of the recently released Bulletstorm game will get early access to the beta, but there will be other ways to get in as well that haven't been revealed quite yet. Two maps are already planned for the beta, but you can visit the Gears of War Facebook page to vote for two more that will also be included. Voting for the extra maps ends February 28.
